This is a very interesting and unique typical Mexican town with its Cathedral and Plaza located right next to each other, only a 15 minute drive from down town Puerto Vallarta and a local favorite. It’s been called the Mexican China Town, where you can find just about anything no one else sells, at very reasonable prices. The small plaza is always well kept and locals like to sit and visit with each other every evening, but especially on Sundays, while enjoying delicious Mexican style corn on the cob (Ingredients: Fresh Corn, Sour Cream, sprinkled with Cotija Cheese or Fresh Squeezed Lime, Salt and Chile).
RESTAURANTS: During the day enjoy great Pork Tacos served with fresh Mexican Salsa (Pico de Gallo) and lime. At night try great typical Mexican food like Pozole, Tostadas, Hot Tamales and Enchiladas, or the famous Tacos al Pastor (Barbecue tacos with sliced Pineapple, Onions and Cilantro).
